Offers tips and suggestions on how to 'Do It
Yourself' when on a budget. You canpick up techniques and
ideas on things that would spruce up any special event.
Most of these ideas I will try to have a cost estimate, for
those of you that are trying to keep the cost down. If you use
any of these ideas send us an email on how it turned out, we
may even ask you to send a picture to post it in this
section.

Ice bowls last for over an hour in the shade
Materials:
- l large glass bowl
- 1 small glass bowl (about
1 1/4 inch smaller than large bowl)
- assorted flowers or fruit
(sliced lemon, oranges if used) or any nontoxic plant can beused
- milk or food coloring (for
frosted effect)
- adhesive tape
Step 1
Place the smaller bowl inside the larger one. Half fill the outer bowl with water, adding a little milk or food coloring for a frosted effect.
Step 2
Gently fill the inner bowl with water so that is sinks to the same level as the outer bowl. Hold it straight in a central position, and secure with adhesive tape.
Step 3
Wedge nontoxic plant material into the water. Freeze for at least 8 hours. To release, pour cold into the inner bowl, and partially submerge the outer bowl in cold, never warm, water. After a minute, ease the ice bowl free.
