There are several options available to you when choosing your seating arrangements for the reception.

The traditional seating arrangement pairs the bride and groom with their attendants, who are seated alternatingly male and female around the table.

The latest trend is to seat the newly betrothed couple together at a table for two in the center of the festivities. This type of seating arrangement is romantic and will allow the couple a few well-deserved minutes alone. Be sure the bride and groom visit each table, mingling with the crowd, in an effort to avoid isolating the guests.

Seating Cards are helpful when planning a reception, and will minimize any confusion. A small, decorated table should be placed near the entrance of the dinner hall. Place dainty seating cards in alphabetical order for each guest. You can also choose to place seating cards at each table setting. Be sure to decorate each card with a ribbon and have a corresponding seating chart at a table near the entance for guests to consult.
